Able Body Homecare Agency of NY, Inc. offers Home and Community Support Services (HCSS).
HCSS are a combination of personal care services (ADL’s and IADL’s) with oversight / supervision services
or oversight /supervision as a discrete service primarily in a participant’s home.
HCSS Staff are required to provide the oversight and supervision needed for safety monitoring to prevent an individual from harmful activities such as wandering or leaving the stove unattended.
HCSS Staff provide cueing, prompting, direction and instruction as part of oversight and or supervision.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
Be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Be in good physical health
Have the ability and skills necessary to meet the waiver participants needs that will be addressed through HCSS.
Requirements:
Have a valid certificate
Take and Pass Pre-Employment Exam with a score of 70%
Complete Employment Application (In Office)
Provide References (2 business or 3 personal)
Proof of Identification (Valid NYS ID, Social Security Card)
Proof of Citizenship or ability to work in the USA
Proof of Immunization (Medical with titers from MD)

Job Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of Daily Living
- Assist with shopping, meal preparation, medication and socialization
- Provide some health-related tasks such as taking vital signs, managing skin care and dressing changes
- Document observations, activities and care
