JOB SUMMARY: The nursing supervisor is responsible for the supervision of nursing practice and resident care on the assigned shift, in collaboration with the nurse managers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to use adult learning principles to plan, teach, direct and assist with learning activities of nursing staff. Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and the general public. Basic computer skills required, including but not limited to the ability to create, save, open, close and locate electronic documents and emails on a personal or laptop computer, and the ability to work in a MS Windows operating system.
EDUCATION: Completion of an accredited program of professional registered nursing and current NYS RN License.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years experience as a Registered Nurse. At least one year supervisory experience.

Performing duties of this job requires lifting, bending, walking and standing.
