What will I do?
- Preform and direct resident care in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Organizes and directs the work of the Resident Assistants and HHA’s, coordinates staff to ensure that effective resident care services are provided and ensures quality standards are met.
- Leads and supports the RA’s and HHA’s through ongoing communication and oversight to ensure a strong team is maintained.
- Act as a role model for others encouraging hands-on leadership, a positive mentality and setting high expectations of care.
- Fields telephone calls and resident/family requests, responds accordingly, and provides excellent customer service skills.
- Provide hands-on resident care as needed to support the team.
- Lead resident-focused daily rounds to observe residents and to determine if nursing needs are being met.
- Assist with the admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.
Job Requirements
- Commitment and genuine interest in the lives of our residents
- Graduation from an approved school of Nursing
- Current LPN license from the NYS Board of Regents
- Minimum of 1-year of nursing experience preferred.
- Prior experience with medication administration preferred.
