Position Summary: RN – Medical/Surgical Nurse Residency Program
Glens Falls Hospital’s Nurse Residency Program is accredited with distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)!
This tremendous opportunity is a one-year Medical/Surgical Nurse Residency Program!
The program begins with approximately 16 weeks of clinical orientation with a preceptor on the day shift prior to joining one of our Medical/Surgical floors on the night shift. The first six months also includes 4-hour educational sessions every two weeks on the day shift. During the second six months of the program nurse residents are paired with a nurse mentor to provide additional support as they transition to a competent, professional nurse.
Nurse Residency Program Eligibility: Graduate Nurses or registered nurses that have less than 1-year acute care clinical experience are eligible to apply!
