As an RN at our skilled nursing facility, you will have the opportunity to utilize your professional knowledge, judgment, and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for adult/geriatric residents. You will provide continuity of care and management of assignment and assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians, ancillary personnel, residents and families. You will also act as a patient advocate and educator by teaching patients and family members about their conditions and how they can contribute to recovery and long-term wellness.
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse License recognized by The State of New York.
Must be able to demonstrate a satisfactory health record and possesses mental/emotional stability.
Excellent communication skills required.

Health Insurance is available to all full-time and part-time employees.
Dental Insurance may be purchased by employees with pre-tax dollars. The SEIU 1199 and NYSNA unions offer an additional plan option for their members.
The Flexible Benefit Plan is a program to help full and part-time employees defray the costs of health insurance premiums, qualified medical expenses and qualifying dependent child care expenses. An employee may make additional contributions to use for these costs.
Alice Hyde provides Life Insurance (at 1x & 2x base compensation) and accidental death and dismemberment coverage for full and part-time employees. An employee may purchase supplemental life insurance for him/herself, spouse, children.
Paid time off includes vacation, personal, sick and holiday (7 per year) time. Available amounts and accrual rates vary by position and longevity at the hospital. Additional leave categories include bereavement and jury duty.
NYSNA union employees, management and non-union employees: have access to a 401k with employer match
SEIU 1199 union employees: Alice Hyde contributes to the SEIU 1199 pension fund on behalf of these employees. Employees in this union also have access to a self-funded 403(b) program.

The Alice Center is Alice Hyde Medical Center’s new skilled nursing care and assisted living facility. The brand new facility opened in April 2015, and is the first of its kind in the region. The new facility provides advanced skilled nursing and rehabilitative care while providing residents with a homelike atmosphere designed to promote privacy and dignity. The two building complex contains 135 skilled nursing beds, and 30 assisted living beds.
The Skilled Nursing Facility offers 24 hour nursing services and a full range of rehabilitation services in a caring, home like environment. The Alice Center can serve up to 135 individuals in need of long-term or short-term care. The facility is divided into 6 separate “neighborhoods” that feature homelike kitchens and dining rooms, large living rooms, and ample social spaces. Rooms are either private or semi-private, and contain their own private bathrooms.
