Unit Receptionist/Clerk  **New starting wages, effective 4/1/21!**
Evening Shift, Part Time, Monday-Friday 3:00pm-7:30pm

We are always looking for positive, dependable, caring individuals to join our team to meet the growing demand in our community for quality care. Unit Receptionist duties include:

• Provides telephone services which include: placing call, answering and screening calls, receiving and delivering messages, giving information, and making requests for services (e.g. prepares lab work schedules and requisitions, dietary changes, room changes, newspaper order, hair appointments, diagnostic tests etc.)
• Acts as a nursing unit receptionist, receiving and delivering messages, giving information and making requests for services.
• Provides continuity of the unit desk operation by relaying pertinent information to the Nurse Manager and /or the incoming shift
• Transcribes physician orders tests and other services which are checked by the nurse in charge. Transcribes vital statistics daily.
• Responsibilities for admission of patient/resident: Set up chart; make out necessary requisitions; follow up with clinic visits; put on appropriate schedules; initiate proper identification; provide necessary equipment; label dentures/eyeglasses; label doors; call family and community doctor regarding Pnuemovax, PPD and flu vaccine on admission.
• Responsibilities for discharge/transfer to outside facility: Initiate appropriate forms; set up transportation, if appropriate; disassemble chart and remove from appropriate schedules; have room cleaned by Housekeeping.
